Ready for the cutest ‘FREE you’ve been booed printable’ ! Wondering how to BOO your neighbors? I promise this will be the easiest if not spookiest halloween printables you ever did see! Get in on the fun with this fun tradition!
I know I may be getting ahead of myself here but, we are around the corner from the official first day of Fall! It is only right I start pulling out some printables for y’all! And I don’t know about you but, I am OVERLY excited. Now, let’s get into it… What exactly does “BOO” your neighbors mean. This is a fun tradition that has been popping up for a few years now where you leave a halloween treat to ‘spook’ a neighbor. It just so happens that my amazing neighbors seem to share the same excitement for the holidays and one happened to mention in our Facebook group how they enjoyed a ‘Boo the Ghost’ tradition which I had no idea about but, I sure do now! And now I get to share in the experience and decided to included some free printables not only for them but for you, my readers as well! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them. It’s our first year in what feels like our forever home and we cannot wait to experience Halloween with all our new soon to be amazing friends and neighbors! Feel free to share these printables with your friends and family… take Halloween and make this a time to bring some cheer to those around you and add your fun twist to it!
I know I have exhausted most of you with my talk about my recent move from Florida to Tennessee but, oh my gosh it could not be better timing. The Solar Eclipse just so happens to have its path of totality right through NASHVILLE ( don’t make me get sophisticated because I am still learning about this eclipse stuff LOL). Basically, we get a really good view of this thing and there’s some sort of black out for about 2 minutes but, I am not sure how true this is. This thing is such a hype around town we have people price gauging the “special glasses”, people are fueling their cars, stocking up on groceries. Feels a whole lot like Miami during a hurricane right now. HA!
If you happen to be watching the Eclipse make sure your glasses are not recalled I know there has been some talk especially from vendors who sold on Amazon. This eclipse seems to be a big deal and can cause damage if these glasses aren’t worn.
**If you are local to the Nashville area most of the libraries have been giving them out for free but, are running out FAST! If you purchase online remember to double check with the NASA site that they are approved. **
In order to get the kiddos prepped I wanted to incorporate some time to teach them and learn for myself about this eclipse and what it’s all about. Below I will include some activities and printables we found online all for FREE and be sure to give credit where it’s due if you decide to try these out or repost them on your page. If you have any activities y’all are incorporating feel free to share in the comments. We are all about getting hands on and finding fun ways to incorporate educational opportunities. We will also be starting our first official year of homeschooling and I cannot wait to bring you all along our journey!
Here are some free printables that we have loved:
Turns out our backyard was a great viewing spot for the eclipse and the kids LOVED it! Especially my daughter she got a kick out of using her Interactive model I linked above and recreating what she was seeing. If you didn’t get a chance to see it, couldn’t snag a pair of glasses, or whatever the case may be feel free to check out the printable and use them as a learning experience with your little ones! It was totally a HIT. And don’t worry the next one is coming in 7 years but, at least there is ample time for planning.’
